The Zimmerman Bury Octagon House, 10095 Wadsworth Road, Marshallville, OH  44645


Our Mission is to preserve the only known Queen Ann Style Octagonal house with a gabled roof.  This 1883 landmark has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and the Zimmerman Bury Octagon House Association continues to share it with the public as a living museum of the middle class Victorian way of life.

At The Zimmerman-Bury Octagon House With Historic Fashion Show

Enjoy an authentic Victorian High Tea at this unique National Historic Landmark, located 6 miles North of Orrville on state route 57, where your hostess and volunteers will greet you in period clothing.
Drink in the ambiance of the Victorian era and along with your tea enjoy various savories including tea sandwiches, pastries and English trifle. A first floor tour and history of the house will be provided as well as 100 years of Fashion Show.
Hats & Gloves encouraged!

Your donation for this day goes to our Nonprofit Association raising funds for ongoing restoration of this unique home.

Civil War Living History Weekend
At The Zimmerman-Bury Octagon House
June 1st 10 to dusk; House open 11-5
June 2nd 10 to 3; House open 10-3

$10 Parking Donation will go towards historic property preservation work at this national landmark.

Come out and tour the house to learn the history of the property, and then walk the grounds where Re-enactors will bring history alive during the Civil War. Walk thru the Civilian Camp to visit with Living Historians spinning wool.

Visit the Civil War Herb Lady with medicinal herbs & tussie mussies to make and take for $1. Meet President & Mrs. Lincoln. Preview a display on Major Pauline Cushman, Spy of the Cumberland, and capture your image with the old tyme photographer.

You won’t want to miss an authentic Ladies High Tea on Saturday afternoon, or the evening musical entertainment when you visit the camps by candlelight.

Victorian Holiday High Teas at the Historic
Zimmerman-Bury Octagon House

Enjoy an authentic Victorian Holiday High Tea at this unique National Historic Landmark, located 6 miles North of Orrville on state route 57. Drink in the ambiance of the Victorian era while savoring a buffet of tea sandwiches, pastries, fruit salads & always English Trifle, plus more. Your hostesses will greet you in 1880’s clothing, provide a history of the house, and serve the period foods created from original family recipes. We are now scheduling groups of 10-20 guests for “Victorian Holiday Teas” from November to December when the house is beautifully decorated with authentic & antique Christmas decorations. Please arrange your meeting or tea party well in advance to get your preferred date. A non-refundable deposit will be required to hold your date. $20 donation per person to enjoy a few hours in the past at Chippewa Township’s only Nationally Registered Historic Landmark, or opt for a Holiday Murder Mystery Tea Party for $25 donation per person. All proceeds go towards the preservation and restoration of this unique eight sided Victorian House Museum.
